Pakistan’s pre-Hajj flight operation is moving smoothly as more than 44,000 Pakistani pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Officials confirmed that 44,908 pilgrims have reached the Kingdom through 176 flights so far, while the nationwide pre-Hajj airlift operation will continue until May 21. Thousands of pilgrims are currently staying in both Makkah and Madinah as they prepare for the spiritual journey ahead.
According to ministry figures, 33,020 Pakistani pilgrims are currently in Makkah, while another 11,888 are staying in Madinah. An additional 2,850 pilgrims were expected to arrive through 14 more flights as the operation continues.
To support pilgrims during their stay, the government has arranged accommodation, transport, food, and medical facilities. Mobile SIM services are also included in Hajj packages to help pilgrims stay connected with their families back home.
Officials said many pilgrims already in Makkah are performing voluntary Umrah, offering prayers, and visiting holy sites before the formal Hajj rituals begin later this year.
Pakistan has been allocated a total Hajj quota of 179,210 pilgrims for 2026 under its agreement with Saudi Arabia, making it one of the largest contributors of Hajj pilgrims globally.
The smooth continuation of the pre-Hajj operation reflects the government’s focus on ensuring comfort, safety, and proper arrangements for pilgrims during one of the most important spiritual journeys of their lives.
