Sindh is taking a major step towards a brighter and greener future! The provincial government has earmarked land in Jhimpir for the province’s first-ever business-to-business (B2B) green power project.
The project, led by Moro Power Company, will combine 65 MW of wind energy and 35 MW of solar power to produce a total of 100 MW. Industries in Nooriabad have already signed up to buy this electricity at around Rs20 per unit – a price that is expected to reduce costs for businesses and promote more sustainable growth.
Jhimpir, already known as Sindh’s “wind corridor,” has the potential to generate tens of thousands of megawatts in the future. With this project, Sindh is not only cutting down reliance on traditional energy but also showing the way forward for clean, affordable, and reliable power.
If all goes according to plan, the project is expected to start supplying electricity by 2026, bringing both economic and environmental benefits.
Now the big questions are:
👉 Will this project be completed on time?
👉 How much impact will it create for industries and the people of Sindh?
Let’s wait and see how this exciting development unfolds.
