PM Shehbaz Urges Turkish Investment as Trade Ties Deepen

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Turkey’s National Defence Minister, Yasar Güler, and extended a gracious invitation to Turkish companies to broaden their investment presence in Pakistan. Emphasizing the country’s investor-friendly environment, the Prime Minister highlighted a shared ambition to elevate bilateral trade to USD 5 billion through focused and collaborative efforts.

He proudly emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal connection between Pakistan and Türkiye—anchored in shared history, culture, and mutual respect—and expressed delight over the positive upward trend in bilateral relations.

Recalling his earlier interaction with President Erdoğan during the SCO Summit in China, Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed his commitment to nurturing stronger ties through frequent leadership-level exchanges and consultations.

Both leaders reaffirmed their steadfast support for each other’s national interests and pledged to elevate the strategic partnership across trade, investment, technology, and defence. The fruitful visit concluded with a diplomatic dinner hosted by the Prime Minister for the Turkish delegation, symbolizing the warm relations and future-oriented collaboration.
