Pakistan Leads in Solidarity: PM Shehbaz to Attend Doha Summit for Peace

ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead Pakistan’s strong presence at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on 15 September 2025, demonstrating Islamabad’s leadership role and reinforcing its commitment to peace in the region.

Co-sponsoring this summit, Pakistan aims to bring together Muslim and Arab nations to promote unity, uphold international law, and address recent escalations positively.

Ahead of the main meeting, a preparatory session of foreign ministers, including Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, is scheduled for 14 September to build consensus and shared strategy among participant countries.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha on 11 September to express solidarity with Qatar’s leadership, underscoring Pakistan’s deep respect for sovereignty and its commitment to regional peace and justice.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent airstrikes in Doha, calling them violations of international law and territorial integrity. The government has also called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council and urged the international community to act to preserve stability.

Through its active diplomacy, Pakistan is reinforcing its image as a voice for justice and peace, supporting mediation efforts and encouraging unity among Muslim nations.
