Iran Denies Reports of Capturing US Pilot Amid Conflicting Claims

Tensions and uncertainty continue to surround recent reports involving a US fighter jet, as Iranian authorities have firmly denied claims that a US pilot has been captured.

According to reports cited by the BBC, officials in Iran’s southern province of Kohgiloy and Boyer-Ahmad have rejected circulating claims about both crew members of a US F-15 aircraft.

❗ Conflicting Narratives Emerge

A sub-unit of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), along with the provincial governor, stated that reports suggesting the second pilot had been captured are not true.

In addition, authorities also denied earlier claims that the first pilot had been rescued by US forces—calling such reports part of “enemy strategy” aimed at spreading misinformation.

This has created a confusing situation, with multiple narratives emerging around the same incident.

📢 Calls to Locate the Pilot

While denying the capture, Iranian official and semi-official media outlets have taken an unusual step—urging citizens to help locate and capture the pilot alive if spotted.

To support this, a significant financial reward has reportedly been announced.

💰 Reward Raises Eyebrows

Reports suggest that Iran is offering a reward of approximately £50,000 (around $66,000) for the capture of the pilot.

This figure has drawn attention due to its scale, especially when compared to the country’s average monthly income, estimated between £150 to £230.

The contrast highlights the seriousness with which the situation is being treated.

🌐 A Situation Still Unfolding

With conflicting claims, official denials, and public appeals, the full picture remains unclear.

As the story develops, global attention remains focused on how the situation unfolds—and whether more verified information emerges in the coming days.
