FIA Cracks Down in Balochistan: Hawala Suspects and Human Traffickers Arrested
Quetta Operation
Acting on the orders of Director-General Riffat Mukhtar Raja, the FIA’s Commercial Banking Circle in Quetta apprehended three men—Muhammad Umar, Lal Muhammad, and Abdul Wali—for illegal currency exchange via hawala/hundi networks. Authorities seized Rs1.7 million, along with four mobile phones, transaction ledgers, and other incriminating evidence. All three suspects were unable to justify the origin or purpose of the seized money, and are now under formal investigation.
Taftan Operation
In a coordinated counter-trafficking action in the border region of Taftan, FIA agents arrested three individuals accused of human trafficking, detaining four Bangladeshi nationals in the process. Among those arrested was Muhammad Adnan Aslam, believed to be a key operative in an organized smuggling network facilitating illegal migration from Pakistan into Iran and onward to Iraq.
