Thatta Cement Partners with Belarus Firm to Assemble Tractors in Balochistan

In a major boost for Pakistan’s industrial and agricultural sectors, Thatta Cement Company Limited (THCCL) has taken a significant step toward diversification by venturing into tractor manufacturing.

The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Minsk Work Tractor & Assembling (Private) Limited, has signed an exclusive agreement with Belarus-based OJSC Minsk Tractor Works to locally assemble and produce Belarus tractors in Balochistan.

The agreement, announced on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), gives the Pakistani subsidiary exclusive rights to assemble Belarus tractors in the province.

This landmark partnership represents more than just an industrial expansion — it signifies a new era of technological collaboration and local empowerment. The project will promote industrial development, job creation, and skill transfer in Balochistan, enabling Pakistan to strengthen its agricultural backbone through locally assembled, high-performance tractors.

Industry experts project a market potential of 2,800 tractor units over the next five years, highlighting growing demand for robust agricultural machinery.

Thatta Cement, a name long associated with quality and reliability, said the move marks an important milestone in its journey toward diversification and long-term growth, while aligning with Pakistan’s broader vision of industrial self-reliance.
