The federal government has announced revised fuel prices for the next fortnight, effective August 16, 2025, bringing welcome relief for transporters, farmers, and industries across the country.
According to the Finance Division’s notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced significantly by Rs 12.84 per litre, lowering it from Rs 285.83 to Rs 272.99. This notable cut is expected to ease transportation costs and benefit agriculture as well as goods movement nationwide.
Meanwhile, petrol prices will remain stable at Rs 264.61 per litre, ensuring continuity for motorists and households without any additional burden. The stability in petrol rates alongside a reduction in diesel is being seen as a positive step, reflecting government efforts to balance affordability for the public with broader economic needs.
At Buzz Pakistan, we view this development as a constructive sign for the economy, offering both relief and stability at the same time.
